The Cost Engineer will be responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of project costs including budgeting estimating forecasting and cost reporting for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project budgets cost estimates and cost plans
- Monitor project costs and provide accurate and timely cost reports to project stakeholders
- Review and analyze project cost variances and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct cost risk assessments and develop contingency plans
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely cost forecasting
- Provide support to project managers in developing cost control strategies
- Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related updates and recommendations
- Collaborate with procurement and contracts teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing and contracting strategies
- Review and evaluate change orders and claims for cost impacts
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients contractors and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to cost control and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited university.
- Work experience of eight (8) years in the sought discipline after earning degree.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in offshore projects.
