Job Description
Our long-standing trusted and continually growing client is seeking an Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team. Based in Saint John NB this role is ideal for a detail-focused and organized individual who enjoys working hands-on in a collaborative finance setting.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Implementation of purchase order process and managing on-going process
- Oversight of AP and ensuring integration of purchasing.
- Facilitate corporate credit card processes
- Prepare journal entries for month end including accruals for invoices and corporate credit cards prepaids and inventory to be reviewed by Manager
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations that support payables and inventory
- Manage inventory counts with oversight from Manager
- Assist the other Corporate Accountants with their duties when able
- Assist with the preparation of materials for the annual audit
Experience & Attributes for Success:- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation currently in progress or near completion is a definite asset although not required
- 5 years of relevant and progressive accounting experience
- Experienced user of accounting software systems Oracle NetSuite is the most preferred but hands on experience with similar cloud-based systems such as SAP QuickBooks is valuable too.
- Experience with budgeting forecasting and internal controls
- Experience with audit preparation and execution
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Professional judgment and commitment to confidentiality
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support evolving processes
