Job Description
The Data Validation & Analytics Specialist ensures that the data used for business analysis and decision-making is correct complete and trustworthy. This position requires both advanced analytical skills and knowledge of data quality assurance to help data-driven projects throughout the company. The best candidate will be able to pay close attention to details know how to use data management tools and be able to explain their findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Make sure that data from different sources is complete accurate and consistent by validating cleaning and verifying it.
Find look into and fix problems and oddities with data quality.
Create and put into action best practices and protocols for data validation.
Use statistical methods to get information that will help you reach your business goals.
Use the right tools and scripts to design and automate the processes for validating and reporting data.
Work with data engineers analysts and business units to make the processes for collecting and combining data as efficient as possible.
Make full reports summaries and presentations for management and stakeholders about data validation.
Help with the creation and upkeep of data governance frameworks and documentation.
Keep up with new developments in data analytics validation methods and best practices in your field.
Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in computer science math statistics information systems or a related field (a masters degree is better).
At least two years of experience in a related field such as data quality data analytics or a similar job.
Ability to use data analysis and visualisation tools like SQL Python R Excel Tableau and Power BI.
A good grasp of the rules for managing data and governing data.
Great skills in problem-solving analysis and organisation.
Good at talking and writing.
It would be helpful to have experience with data warehousing ETL processes and managing databases.
Pay: $32 to $55 per hour depending on where you work how much experience you have and how much education you have.
