The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for analyzing developing and implementing strategies to enhance the environmental social and economic sustainability performance of the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills a deep understanding of sustainability frameworks and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that align with corporate sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect analyze and interpret data related to energy usage waste management water consumption emissions and other sustainability metrics.
Develop and implement sustainability programs policies and initiatives in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Prepare regular sustainability reports dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) and environmental impact analyses for products services and operations.
Identify opportunities for reduction of resource consumption and recommend cost-effective sustainable solutions.
Stay current with relevant regulations standards and trends in sustainability and communicate implications to the organization.
Support the preparation of applications for sustainability certifications (e.g. LEED WELL ISO 14001).
Collaborate with departments such as operations procurement and compliance to integrate sustainability objectives across the organization.
Engage with community partners government agencies and industry groups to promote sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Sustainability Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
2 years of experience in a sustainability-related role.
Familiarity with sustainability standards and reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI CDP SASB).
Strong analytical research and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel Power BI Tableau).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $30 to $45 per hour (dependent on experience and education).
