Job Description

Were seeking someone to join our Finance team as a Director in Business Management to join our Finance team as a director to act as business partner to help manage technology infrastructures.

In the Finance division we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management review analysis and advisory services of the Firms financial and capital resources. This is a Director level position within our Business Management Job Family which performs business management/CAO functions including headcount management financials people processes executive communications strategic support divisional governance regulatory support etc. Includes regional location and department management and oversight.



What youll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects leveraging in-depth knowledge of Finance functional area product and/or client segments
- Adhere to the Firms risk and regulatory standards policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
- Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firms values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
- Produce and deliver monthly and quarterly Financial Control and Management reports on Wealth Technology expenses
- Provide projection and budget calc support through the calculation and posting of manual adjustments
- Produce deep dive analysis and insightful analytics into the Technology capital budget
- Maintain and develop the existing reporting portfolio and generate new reports and analytics
- Provide support to senior management on an ad-hoc basis
- Analyze and understand the drivers of variances between monthly and year-to-date actuals versus budget and estimates
- Be proactive in liaising with other teams/departments to resolve issues
- Provide advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends issues and firm strategy
- Understand and actively participate in the budgeting process for Technology
- Automate the reporting and planning process identify and implement improvements

What youll bring to the role:
- In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area product and/or client segment and technical skills as well as of industry and competitive environment
- Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Accounting or Economics
- 5-7 years of relevant proficiency
- Excellent English verbal and writing skills
- Sound understanding of Financial statements
- Strong MS Office skills
- Openness to learn new IT applications
- Accuracy attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments quickly and effectively

All our positions are located in Montreal Quebec. We offer a hybrid work environment combining remote work and attendance in the office.

Knowledge of French and English is required.
