POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Strategy team at F5 Networks seeks an exceptional executive to help define the companys long-term strategic direction. The VP of Corporate Strategy will play a critical role formulating strategy evaluating and analyzing business opportunities and driving cross-functional efforts to advance our strategic position. This individual will lead a small high-impact team and cross-functional virtual teams to deliver high-impact business projects. These projects span strategic growth initiatives to operational excellence programs. This individual will spearhead the companys ongoing strategy refinement process and be responsible for mobilizing F5s worldwide workforce. The role requires close interaction with senior executives throughout the company. This person will therefore have a significant opportunity to impact the growth direction and future of F5 Networks.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience identifying evaluating and analyzing critical strategic questions and business situations
  • Prior experience of 12-18 years in a combination of management consulting and / or strategy roles required
  • Preference for candidates with operating experience within a company
  • Outstanding record of sound business judgment and advice to senior leaders
  • Proven experience managing strategy teams and leading cross-functionally to solve business problems
  • Broad exposure to different business models and business strategies
  • Experience working across multiple business units / functions to drive consensus
  • MBA or demonstrated equivalent; engineering degree a plus

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High energy positive attitude self-starter and motivated
  • Executive presence comfortable interacting with senior business leaders
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills with a data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Team player able to effortlessly lead virtual teams
  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced dynamic environment

The annual base pay for this position is: $299600.00 - $449400.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience geographic locations and market conditions as well as to reflect F5s differing products industries and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
