Job Description

Apples Platform Architecture Engineering team is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to lead the design implementation and qualification of various prototyping platforms.


  • BSEE or BSCE degree
  • Familiarity with computer system architecture and PCB layout
  • Understanding of the system development process (such as concept creation schematics and board development board and system bring up and debugging etc.)
  • Experience with microcontrollers microprocessors or ARM based systems
  • Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes logic analyzers and/or multimeters


  • MSEE or MSCE degree
  • 20 years of industry experience ideally 10 years in developing consumer electronics products
  • Track record of leading projects from concept to prototype
  • Experience with sensors and analog components
  • Hands-on lab experience: soldering small surface mount components rework building prototypes etc.
  • Experience with Cadence Concept and Allegro
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
  • Understanding of low-level software such as drivers and real-time operating systems
