Local Area Network is essential for Airbus digital transformation as this the connectivity domain bridging all other digital areas. Local Area Network domains are the Campus Network Datacenter Network Cloud Network and Application Delivery Controller.

Airbus business is expecting speed agility and flexibility when buying/building new applications.

The only way for the infrastructure team to deliver the connectivity on time and on quality is to improve our architecture and design by using the relevant connectivity solution. To do that a Local Area Network Technical Expert is required with the appropriate skillset.

You will design & build reliable services to enable business teams to deliver efficient Products via automated and secured solutions.

Airbus needs on board people with proven experience on LAN technology i.e. new concepts/ protocols/technologies enabling Digitalization and Flexible ICT used by the leading edge Digital will be responsible for designing and building reliable automated and secure services that enable business teams to deliver efficient products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or a related field.

• 4-7 years of network experience.

Primary Skills and Competencies:

• Strong networking and development skills.

• Good knowledge of current and emerging connectivity technologies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for team environments.

• Ability to synthesize structure and clearly explain highly technical topics.

• Autonomous and self-directed.

• Negotiation-level English language proficiency..

GOOD TO HAVE

Experience in some of the following technologies:

• Good Knowledge of state of the art connectivity technologies as well as emerging technologies

• General networking: Ethernet VLAN excellent understanding of TCP/IP Switching IP routing (OSPF BGP) IPSEC VPN IPv6

• Campus Network: Stack 802.1X VSS QoS

• Datacenter Network: VPC FabricPath VXLAN ARISTA

• DNS/DHCP: Bind DHCPd Infoblox

• Application Delivery Controller: F5 LTM & GTM Nginx

• Linux: Intermediate level expected

• Monitoring and Metrology: Zabbix AKIPS

• Devops: Netbox Python JSON Rest API YANG NetConf Regexp Ansible

• CCNP/CCDP level (certification not mandatory) expected

Responsibilities

• Driving Service Evolution: Lead the global service design and evolution by leveraging business services on cloud solutions Airbus Datacenter and the LAN technical area.

• Providing Technology Expertise: Support business demands by offering essential technology expertise to business lines of services.

• Ensuring Security Compliance: Guarantee that all services adhere to Airbus Group security rules and standards.

• Monitoring Trends and Supporting Implementation: Track technology and methodology trends and assist teams in applying these within the Airbus Environment.

• Crisis Escalation: Serve as a Level 3 escalation point for technical crises on the network.

This role will be responsible for the following key outputs:

• Strategic Collaboration:

  • Maintaining a strong link with the Airbus Customer Services Digital organization.

  • Maintaining a strong link with the Airbus Security Governance department.

• Roadmap Contribution: Proactively offering guidance and input for the roadmap.

• Business Advocacy: Implementing measures to advocate for the business.
