What does a Mortgage Advisor Central do

As a Mortgage Advisor Central you help customers remotely with the financing of their housing wishes. You will work from one of our inspiring central locations (Bunnik The Hague Eindhoven Zwolle and Zaandam) as well as from home. You will work intensively with your colleagues to make our customers housing dreams come true. Helping as many homebuyers as possible to move forward sustainably in their home journey where digital convenience and human touch go hand in hand. This is what we work on every day with great passion.

What does your work look like

Appointments with (potential) customers are scheduled in your calendar. At the agreed time you give advice via a video call. You can make a connection remotely like no other and know how to win the customer over to you and to ING with your enthusiasm. You get energy from speaking guiding and advising many different customers at different times in their customer journey in a day. This requires flexibility empathy and control over your agenda. You mainly speak to first-time buyers those moving up the ladder and those who are refinancing but also customers who want to increase their mortgage for sustainability or renovation. With extra skills such as giving advice to expats entrepreneurs and new construction projects you can develop yourself further and help us to serve these customer groups even better. On average you work one evening a week and one Saturday a month.

Every conversation is an opportunity

You know how to recharge for every conversation: another opportunity in which you help a customer with your knowledge and skills with tailor-made information and advice. This requires you to act quickly and to achieve maximum efficiency. It is your passion to win over as many customers as possible and thus achieve the financial ambitions together with your colleagues. You are also able to help a customer where financing is not appropriate in their financial health.

You make housing wishes come true

As a Central Mortgage Advisor you are responsible for the entire mortgage process. From an orientation meeting to an advisory process up to and including passing by the the orientation phase you give the customer the insights he/she needs to successfully make a purchase. You are proactive in offering help and tips which relieves your customer of your worries. Once the customer has purchased you enter the advisory process together. Then you give substance to the most appropriate advice across the board. Of course you also help with a plan of action to become more sustainable and ensure that risks are covered. You elaborate this advice in a Personal Mortgage Advice in which you carefully record the starting points the choices made and the risks.

You enjoy it when you have helped a customer with information in the first phase of the customer journey and thanks to you they have realized a housing wish with this way you also know how to motivate these customers to recommend you as an advisor and ING as a mortgage lender to their friends and acquaintances.

What is your profile

• Completed HBO or WO education
• In possession of WFT Basic & Mortgage Credit and preferably also WFT Equity
• Certified Financial Advisor is an advantage
• You have a good command of the Dutch language both verbally and in writing and you can also have a conversation in English
• Several years of commercial work experience in a consulting environment
• You are able to make a personal connection through a video call
• You want to get the best out of yourself every day and are open to learning new things
