Job Summary

In this role youll:

  • Operate a variety of Plant and Heavy Machinery
  • Perform maintenance and manual labouring at a Plant Operator Grade 3 level - including tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools when required
  • Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise
  • Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards
  • Work a 9 Day Fortnight
  • Travel throughout the region and camp away from home Monday to Friday up to 80% on the year

About you

We are looking for an experienced Plant Operator who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees.

Essential Tickets and Licence:

  • White Card
  • NSW Driver Licence
  • Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed

Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment and Plant Operator Grade 2 level experience as well as an understanding of local road networks across the district is essential

Experience in operating plant (excavator bobcat padfoot/smooth drum roller) as well as other related tickets traffic Controller Card or ability to gain within 3 months of employment is advantageous

You will live within 100km radius of the Broken Hill works depot
