Job Summary

In this role youll:

Operate a variety of Plant and Heavy Machinery
Perform maintenance and manual labouring at a Plant Operator Grade 3 level - including tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools when required
Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise
Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards
Work a 9 Day Fortnight
Travel throughout the region and camp away from home Monday to Friday up to 80% on the year

About you

We are looking for an experienced Plant Operator who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees.

Essential Tickets and Licence:

White Card
NSW Driver Licence
Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed

Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment and Plant Operator Grade 2 level experience as well as an understanding of local road networks across the district is essential

Experience in operating plant (excavator bobcat padfoot/smooth drum roller) as well as other related tickets traffic Controller Card or ability to gain within 3 months of employment is advantageous

You will live within 100km radius of the Broken Hill works depot
