Job Description:
Aerojet-Rocketdyne an L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a highly motivatedexperienced Final Assembly Technician. Duties include soldering wiring electronic and mechanical assembly on electronic boxes equipment racks and missile sections. Work will be conducted by utilizing and following existing work instructions to complete assembly tasks on flight hardware. This position is located in Orlando FL.
Essential Functions:
- Point-to-point wiring of electrical and mechanical components
- Integrate sub-assemblies with cabling and point-to-point wiring.
- Assembly and wiring of electrical assemblies and components
- Understand electrical diagrams mechanical drawings and technical documents
- Make reliable electrical connections
- Proficient at cable and wire stripping/crimping/labeling
- Produce quality soldering and tinning
- Skilled use of basic hand tools and related diagnostic equipment
- High quality of workmanship: neat cable routing/bundling; clean and consistent results
- Advanced wiring methods knowledge. Including color coding proper connector mating neatness wire gauging and sizing.
- Strong Attention to detail
- Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded tidy & accurate manner.
- Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum 4 years of prior manufacturing experience; or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Prior aerospace industry experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude (some mechanical assembly)
- Requires a specialized level of knowledge in the final assembly of flight hardware
- Good time management and multi-tasking skills
- Must have good oral and written communications skills
- IPC620 and J-STD-001 certification desired
- Moderate computer skills desired
