Job Summary:

The Distribution Manager (2nd Shift) provides guidance and supervision to ensure the accomplishment of distribution center goals including those related to budget and cost structure.

Additional Info:

  • This position requires the candidate to work a 5 day-a-week schedule in the Morton IL Distribution Center.
  • This is a 2nd shift position: Monday-Friday 3PM-11PM
  • Relocation Offered: None

  • Travel: Up to 10%

What You Will Do:

  • Make workflow decisions under the direction of management. Improve service levels and costs for distribution center operations.
  • Supervise and motivate distribution center employees through effective coaching and training clear communication of job expectations and positive reinforcement of exemplary performance; maintain a positive distribution center working environment.
  • Implement productivity quality and service standards. Resolve problems and identify areas for improvements. Contribute performance data to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Ensure all equipment receives preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary.
  • Adhere to requirements and procedures for safety regulations.

What You Have (Required Skills):

  • Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
  • Coaching Others: Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage motivate and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.
  • Problem Management Process - MFG: Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes methodologies and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution.
  • Warehouse Management: Knowledge of the policies processes and systems of warehouse management; ability to effectively manage one or more warehouses or distribution centers.
  • Customer Service Management: Knowledge of customer service priorities and ability to utilize tools and techniques for maintaining an environment where all understand and are committed to providing excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Materials Handling and Management: Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform monitor and improve processes related to storage transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.

  • EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
  • AWCS (Automated Warehouse Controls System)
  • Associates degree or higher

Summary Pay Range:

$79800.00 - $119760.00
