**Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description**
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides care to patients using a step-by-step process.
This means checking the patients condition and needs regularly.
The RN helps treat symptoms and observes how well the treatments work.
The RN is a leader in their team and supports other staff members.
They also work with other healthcare professionals to set goals for each patient.
The RN must meet the needs of all types of patients.
**Responsibilities**

**(40%)** Regularly check what patients need and provide nursing services based on the doctors plan and best practices.-
**(30%)** Offer direct care to patients including giving medications treatments education helping with transfers answering call lights and responding to alarms among other tasks.-
**(20%)** Assess how well the treatments are working and suggest updates to the treatment plan by working with the team to improve patient care.-
**(10%)** Be knowledgeable about and follow all rules and guidelines set by local state and federal agencies as well as hospital policies about patient care.
**Qualifications**
- 2 years of experience Required- Skills in Labor & Delivery
Required- Must be available to work during holidays- BLS (Basic Life Support) & ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications
Required- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Required- Experience with travel Preferred
**Certification Requirements**
- ACLS (AHA)- BLS (AHA)- NRP
**State License Requirements**
- Must have a license to practice in Michigan.
