Position : Product Application Enginner - Brasil or Europe based - Chinese speaker

Your Responsibilities

• Represent GKN Engineering to the customer for assigned programs under the guidance of the Application Engineering Manager while promoting GKNs brand and technological capabilities.
• Build and maintain strong working-level relationships with customer engineering teams.
• Ensure timely and effective delivery of engineering milestones (C D and E phases) in collaboration with the Engineering Programme Manager; escalate discrepancies via the Application Engineering Manager.
• Provide engineering support to facilitate robust change management processes in C and D phases; generate value analysis/value engineering (VAVE) ideas to drive cost savings in D phase.
• Assist Product Launch Site Engineering and Operations teams with engineering support and hands-on problem-solving during product industrialization.
• Support Customer Development Income (CDI) recovery by preparing and delivering appropriate engineering documentation as directed.
• Collaborate with Programme Engineering to develop comprehensive Design FMEAs (DFMEA) and support DFMEA/PFMEA reviews with the plant quality team prior to product launch.
• Contribute to the documentation of deviations in customer compliance matrices (C0 programs agree/disagree) in alignment with the Application Engineering Manager.
• Participate in the technical issue escalation process (PPSI) through the Application Engineering Manager and with support from Programme Engineering.
• Actively contribute to the Engage Me process through participation in team action plans fostering a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience preferably within the automotive or aerospace sector.
• Fluent in Englisch and Chinese language is a must
• Strong collaborative mindset and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in project or program management environments.
• Solid problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach.
• Understanding of design-specific product safety standards.
• Familiarity with the CAPM process and customer milestone delivery requirements.
