Controller Construction Full-Time Onsite (Fairview Heights Illinois)
$115000 $135000 Annual Bonus

Are you a hands-on accounting pro who can run the show in a small fast-moving construction business Were a growing subcontractor working with repeat industrial clients across the region and were hiring a Controller to take charge of our financial operations and help build the systems we need for our next phase of growth.
What Youll Do
- Oversee Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage cash flow and bank activity
- Own the month-end close process and financial reporting
- Coordinate payroll (processed externally via accountant)
- Handle COIs lien releases and compliance
- Lead development of budgets and forecasting
- Process daily invoices ranging from small jobs to six-figure projects
- Support 2030 active short-term jobs at a time
- Use QuickBooks Online Fleet Cost & Care for accounting and billing
What Were Looking For
- 58 years of full-cycle accounting experience including leadership or team of one roles
- Background in construction or subcontractor environments
- Experience with union payroll/reporting
- Comfortable working independently in a small business setting
- Proven ability to manage high transaction volume
