The opportunity
EYs Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice is growing rapidly and sits within our Finance Performance Improvement consulting services. We work with clients across industries to help finance leaders transform their organizations through strategic planning performance management and technology enablement.
We are dedicated to empowering clients by leveraging our expertise in understanding their internal customer needs and crafting innovative operating models that foster success. As a technical solution architect within our dynamic team you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and implementation of cutting-edge Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems along with the integration of advanced AI technologies.
In this role you will analyze complex financial data operational metrics and market trends transforming them into actionable insights that facilitate informed decision-making. By concentrating on these critical areas you will enable organizations to optimize their operational efficiency and achieve their strategic goals significantly impacting their journey toward excellence.

Your key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of EPM solutions across planning budgeting forecasting and reporting.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures for modern EPM systems.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery and measurable impact.
- Serve as a technical lead on EPM projects developing models integrations and custom functionalities.
- Guide junior developers and ensure high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations.
- Support the development and configuration of EPM solutions including system setup testing documentation and user support.
- Learn and grow within a dynamic team focused on financial performance technologies.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong understanding of EPM platforms and financial planning processes (e.g. FP&A HR planning CapEx).
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with data modeling scripting and system integration.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally youll also
- Relevant certifications as a solution architect in one or more of the EPM systems EY Canada implements.
- Experience integrating EPM platforms with other enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with planning processes such as G&A Planning Workforce Planning Capital Expense Planning and Project Planning.
- Exposure to pre-sales activities including solution demos and proposal development.
