About the role
Ventia is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Mechanics to perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems across the Defence facilities.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
- Reactive and preventative maintenance on air conditioning and compressor units
- Repairs maintenance and installations of plant & equipment
- Fault Finding and refurbishment works
- Compressor changeouts
- Brake line maintenance and repairs
- Installation of PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards)
- Effectively communicate with customers to support other trades people
About You
- Proven experience in a Commercial/Industrial environment
- Hold a current Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification & Refrigerant Handling License (RAC)
- Hold a current Restricted electrical licence
- Hold a current LVR and CPR (1- year validity)
- Hold a White Card
- Respectful and inclusive approach to working with diverse communities
- Hold a current Australian Drivers License & own transport to drive across sites.
- You take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and reliably. You follow established procedures actively look out for your teammates and understand that safety is a shared responsibility. You contribute to a culture where safety incidents near misses and hazards are reported promptly and constructively.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check
