A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Provides legal assistance within the US Commercial Legal team in areas including medical device and technology sales and marketing programs and commercial sales agreements.
• Assists in reviewing editing and negotiating commercial contracts and related documents.
• Interacts with attorneys pricing and contracting analysts contract managers and customers to finalize contract negotiations.
• Processes legal requests in a timely manner in accordance with Medtronic contracting standards and best practices.
• Collaborates with other legal teams functional leaders and operating units to support improvement and harmonization of contracting processes and systems.
• Triages issues presented to the US Commercial Legal team meets with internal contracting and business clients and provides direction and escalation as needed.
• Partners with other subject matter experts across a global matrixed organization.
• Conducts research on projects as directed by attorneys or other paralegals.
• May review and ensure the companys compliance with regulations.
• Assists internally in analyzing documents.
• Participates in other projects as assigned or as needed.

MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree or Paralegal Certificate with 4 years of paralegal or legal experience; or an advanced degree with 2 years of paralegal or legal experience

NICE TO HAVE:

• Paralegal Certificate
• Experience drafting reviewing modifying and negotiating various agreement types
• Exceptional performer with high degree of self-motivation
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously while appropriately prioritizing each
• Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact with and influence all levels of leadership and executive management
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent customer focus
