Job Summary
The Bensalem Township School District is Anticipating hiring Nurse Assistants for the 2025-2026 school year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in maintaining health records on each student in the assigned school.
- Participates in the health screening program at the direction of the school nurse.
- Assists in recording the results of screenings on the health record/student information system.
- May need to assist students in the lavatory with toileting issues and with feminine hygiene issues as necessary.
- May need to assist in transferring students from wheelchair to chair/toilet etc.
- Completes clerical procedures as assigned by the school nurse for example: assist with any mailings writing student passes filing entering data into student information system such as immunizations making copies verify emergency cards received on every student
- Assists with care storage and cleaning of equipment and supplies.
- Keeps the health office orderly and attractive.
- Participates in in-service training programs as needed.
- Respects all statutes and regulations regarding the confidentiality of student and employee health records.
- Review and be knowledgeable on all school board policies and NU procedures/forms that pertain to your role.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned or necessary for an efficient operation.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma.
- Current certification in first aid and community CPR through American Red Cross or the equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant credentials.
