Aerodynamics Stability and Control Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Aerodynamics Stability and Control Manager (Level K) to join our Stability & Control (S&C) team based in Everett Washington.

The Stability & Control (S&C) team is responsible for establishing and verifying flight characteristics and handling qualities to ensure a safe and certifiable airplane. We support the entire airplane life cycle from the initial concept through to the retirement of the last airplane in our customers fleets.

We operate as a single team supporting all BCA S&C needs rather than being tied to any specific program. This organizational structure facilitates the transfer of knowledge and lessons learned while developing well-rounded airplane-level engineers and teams across the full airplane life cycle. This manager role will oversee approximately 15-25 S&C engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages Aerodynamics Stability & Control (S&C) discipline work statement including scope funding resources and priorities.

• Develops both the individuals and the team through multiple engagement mechanisms.

• Supports the advancement of S&C discipline core competencies and technical excellence.

• Ensures the team understand how group responsibilities align with discipline strategies.

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.

• Manages develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering.

• 1 years of experience in leading or managing an engineering team.

• 3 years of experience with aerodynamics engineering or related engineering fields (flight test flight controls).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors degree or higher in Aeronautical Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.

• 3 years of experience leading or managing an engineering team in aerodynamics or related field.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
