About the role

As a proactive Handyperson you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of Defence facilities behind the this hands-on role youll carry out general maintenance tasks assist with repairs and help ensure the site remains safe functional and well-presented.

About you

• Background in labouring handyman removals or trade assistance are desirable
• Must be familiar and comfortable using hand tools
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks and able to be on feet for long periods
• Hold a current Australian Drivers License & own transport to drive across sites.
• Respectful and inclusive approach to working with diverse communities
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on safety and teamwork
• You take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and reliably. You follow established procedures actively look out for your teammates and understand that safety is a shared responsibility. You contribute to a culture where safety incidents near misses and hazards are reported promptly and constructively.

Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check.
