Key Responsibilities:
- Capex Procurement Management:
- Execute procurement activities forplant machinery fabrication contract management civil work insulation andbought outsrequired for Capex projects in amulti-plant environment.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals focusing oncost savingstimely delivery andquality standards.
- Apply theTotal Cost of Ownership (TCO)concept to evaluate lifecycle costs and drive value in procurement decisions.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with Category Leadto deliver on KPIs.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders includingplant operations engineering construction financeandproject management teams to understand and meet project-specific requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships across multiple plants and departments to ensure smooth execution of procurement activities in a dynamic multi-plant environment.
- Negotiation Excellence:
- Leadhigh-value negotiationswith suppliers and contractors to secure favorable terms pricing and service levels.
- Leveragemarket intelligenceandcost analysisto meetsavings targetsand drive procurement efficiencies.
- Vendor Development & Management:
- Identify develop and onboardreliable vendorsfor Capex procurement categories includingplant machinery fabrication civil works and insulation.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance withquality costanddelivery standards.
- Foster long-term partnerships with local and alternative vendors to ensure adiverse and competitive supplier base.
- Sourcing Project Management & Reverse Auctions:
- Manage sourcing projects using advanced procurement platforms.
- Knowledge ofe-sourcing toolslikeIvaluaorSAP Aribais an added advantage.
- Conductreverse auctionsand implement innovative sourcing strategies to achievecost optimizationandprocurement transparency.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply withlegal statutoryandinternal governance policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records to supportaudits internal reviewsandprocurement transparency.
- Order Management & Delivery:
- Finalize offers release purchase orders and manageend-to-end procurement processesto ensuretimely deliveryof Capex items.
- Monitor delivery schedules and resolve anysupply chain issuesto meet project deadlines.
- Communication & Reporting:
- Exhibitexcellent communication skillsto manage stakeholders effectively resolve conflicts and articulate procurement strategies to senior management.
- Prepare and presentprocurement reports includingcost-saving achievementsvendor performance andproject progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Knowledge & Data Management:
- Build and maintain adata repositoryof market intelligence supplier capabilities and emerging trends in Capex procurement.
- Usedata-driven insightsto refine procurement strategies and optimize supplier performance.
Technical Skills Requirements:
- Mandatory:
- Proficiency inSAPfor procurement and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of theTotal Cost of Ownership (TCO)concept.
- Preferred (Added Advantage):
- Knowledge of e-sourcing platforms likeIvaluaorSAP Ariba.
- Experience in managingsourcing projectsand conductingreverse auctions.
- Proven expertise in handling Capex procurement forplant machinery fabrication civil works and bought-outs.
