ABOUT THE POSITION

Court Management Systems (CMS) Training & Support Specialistprovides professional training and technical support for the Courts Case Management System and other operations applications. Under general supervision the CMS Training & Support Specialist designs and delivers training programs develops instructional materials and offers expert guidance on system enhancements and rollouts. The role also includes troubleshooting quality control and ongoing user addition the CMS Training & Support Specialist actively participates in system testing identifies and reports defects and collaborates with technical teams and operations to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement of CMS functionality. This recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies in multiple areas of the Court such as Learning & Development and Testing and Support. Learning & Development (L&D)

The CMS Training and Support Specialist in L&D on the CMS &Litigation Education team works collaboratively with teams across the Court to develop and deliver curriculum and training on Case Management Systems (CMS) and other Operations applications litigation concepts court operations procedures and other professional development topics to all court staff employees.


The CMS Training and Support Specialists in L&D on the Tech Ed team works collaboratively with teams across the Court to develop and execute training plans and curriculum for Judicial Officers test electronic applications and software used by Judicial Officers and provide training support to judicial officers on all technologies.


Testing and Support Unit (TSU)

The CMS Training and Support Specialist in TSU works in collaboration with a team to support end-users and provide knowledge and expertise of a specific litigation area or business process within the context of a CMS which includes Enterprise Justice (Odyssey) Clerk Edition eCourt eFiling systems and other software tools used by operations. The CMS Training and Support Specialist plays a key role in system testing and quality assurance by developing test scripts executing test cases identifying defects and reporting issues to development teams to ensure system reliability and performance. The CMS Training and Support Specialist provides a wide range of technical assistance troubleshooting demonstrations and small group/individual training to support the Case Management Systems and other Court operations applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design develop and deliver training programs for the Courts Case Management System (CMS) and other operations applications.
  • Create instructional materials user guides and documentation to support system training and implementation.
  • Provide technical assistance troubleshooting and quality control for CMS and related court operations applications.
  • Actively participate in system testing identify and report defects and collaborate with technical teams and operations to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement of CMS functionality.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for system-related enhancements rollouts and special projects.

  • Collaborate with managers analysts and court staff to assess training needs and develop appropriate solutions.

  • Support system users by addressing functional issues and ensuring proper system usage.

  • Work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of court operational practices procedures and CMS functionalities.


THIS IS A TELEWORK OPPORTUNITY
This position may be eligible for full or partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court and the operational unit.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify you must meet one of the following options at the time of application:


Option I:
Three (3) years of experience at the level of
Judicial Assistant orCourt Services Supervisor-AND- United States citizenship.

Option II:
Bachelors degree* -AND- one (1) year of experience at the level of
Judicial AssistantorCourt Services Supervisor-AND- United States citizenship.

Note:Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio (e.g. working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with major court technologies including Enterprise Justice and/or eCourt case management systems.

  • In-depth understanding of one or more litigation areas including related court policies and procedures.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information and collaborate effectively with court staff teams and external vendors.

  • Proven experience in designing developing and delivering training programs.

  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional techniques for both computer-based and business process training.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify data patterns and trends.

  • Experience implementing court technology to support training and development initiatives and/or providing technical support for court systems.
