| Job Description: | The Talent Acquisition Specialist II plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the University of Florida by attracting and acquiring the most talented individuals from various professional backgrounds across the country and internationally. This role supports recruitment efforts across campus by advising hiring departments on the best recruitment strategies to bring skilled professionals to join our Institutions workforce. Your responsibilities will include: Advising: Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring departments providing guidance on best practices for attracting engaging and selecting top talent. Review and advise departments on potential hires and clears finalists for offer. Requisition Management: Review and approve job requisitions to ensure all postings are constructed in a way that will attract qualified candidates and will promote positive branding for the University of Florida and the hiring departments. Applicant Pool Development: Proactively cultivate applicant pools that offer a diverse set of talents skills strengths points of view and experiences through strategic sourcing techniques leveraging various recruitment channels and building a strong talent pipeline. Strategic Support: Provides support with the development and implementation of recruitment and sourcing strategies in alignment with the universitys goals and objectives. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize recruitment efforts such as the development and promotion of the universitys employer brand highlighting its values culture and opportunities. Compliance and Policy Interpretation: Interprets UF and UFHR rules and policies as they pertain to the posting and advertising of vacancies and hiring of employees. Advises departments and college administrators of university hiring policies fair recruitment procedures and general employment law (Title VII ADA Fair Labor Standard Act etc) as it pertains to talent acquisition. Supports the research screening process in partnership with the RISC office. Communication: Ensure effective communication and timely follow-up with candidates and campus partners. Campus Partnerships: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and campus partners within academic and administrative units across the university to understand their unique talent needs. | |

| Preferred: | Familiarity of employment laws specifically Title VII ADA FLSA. Working competency in computer skills including Word Access PowerPoint and Excel. Demonstrated knowledge of professional human resource practices. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work and cooperate with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels. | |
