Job Summary
Are you passionate about helping others and creating positive experiences Lehigh University seeks a dedicated Lending Services Assistant to serve as the welcoming face of our library community.
Position Number: S78590
This position is a Grade: 6 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $31770 - $38130 and is subject to change based on experience skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional front-line customer service at the library circulation desk
Assist students faculty and community members with library inquiries and needs
Manage library materials including check-out check-in and inventory processes
Maintain organized and welcoming library environment for all patrons
Support daily circulation operations and administrative tasks
Handle patron accounts renewals and overdue materials
Collaborate with library staff to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Associates Degree inLibrary Sciences preferred
0-1 years of related work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Proficiency with computer systems and willingness to learn library software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The duties of the position do not allow for a remote work option; the employee in this position will be required to work on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community
