    PRIMARY PURPOSE:
    The Secondary Migrant Recruiter Clerk is responsible in understanding of all areas in the Texas
    Data Management Requirements and proper coding in the NEW TX-NGS (Texas-New Generation System) of
    all eligible Migrant Students in their addition the Secondary Migrant Recruiter Clerk
    is a Recruiter that is responsible for Identification & Recruitment (ID&R) of all eligible
    migratory children in the state as required by Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) (Public Law
    114-95 Title I Part C).

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    TEA certification requirements High School Graduate or GED
    Understand the TX-NGS (Texas-New Generation System) Ability to communicate in both English and
    Spanish Drivers License and vehicle
    Ability to use personal computer and software

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
    Complete TX-NGS MSIX and ID&R Training and certification for current year.
    Responsible for TX-NGS Audit Binder collecting data source and documentation for each student
    and enter to TX-NGS in an effective and timely manner for TEA Compliance.
    Withdrawal/partial grades credits and recommended courses for each student must be entered on
    TX-NGS within five working days of withdrawal.
    Enter STAAR/EOC scores and information on the TX-NGS.
    Update immunization/health information pertaining to TX-NGS.
    Early withdrawal data processed within one working day of early withdrawal
    notification.
    Assist in the recruitment and identification of migrants according to program
    guidelines.
    Meet with school personnel and parents of migrant students to focus on the problems that migrant
    students face and all possible solutions and services.
    Work with school personnel parents and students in the organization implementation and
    maintenance of a general migrant late entry/early withdrawal program policy.
    Inform the Migrant School Counselors of the data on the credit accrual form to determine proper
    course selection.
    Assist the Migrant Counselors with orientation on graduation requirements and course selection
    activities as related to the migrant students unique academic and vocational needs.
    Set up activities to disseminate information of migrant programs with emphasis on graduation
    requirements and school policies as stated in the student handbook.
    Communicate effectively with administrators faculty students parents and the
    community.
    Utilize a variety of methods to communicate current resource information to parents staff and
    students.
    Engage in efforts to identify and retrieve dropouts.
    Submit periodic reports to supervisor.
    Submit PEIMS Verification Reports weekly.
    Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
    Performs other related duties as assigned.
