JOB GOAL
The Customer Service Specialist will interact with the companys customers by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints generally providing a higher level of customer support on janitorial supplies equipment and deliveries.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Some experience with janitorial supplies equipment and procedures preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Interacts with customers via telephone email or in person to provide support and information on janitorial products services and deliveries.
  • Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns.
  • Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries complaints or comments.
  • Collaborates with and assists sales representatives on customer service issues.
  • Uses knowledge of a specific product service or other assigned area of expertise to answer inquiries or to forward to the appropriate staff.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening and conflict resolution.
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
  • Ability to operate related office equipment such as computers 10-key calculator and copier.
  • Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
PHYSICAL DEMAND CLASS:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
