About the Role
NGi is seeking a Project Engineer Prefabrication to support our Prefabrication division. This role partners with Project Managers Superintendents and the Prefabrication Team across all stages of a project to ensure cost schedule and quality standards are met. The Project Engineer exercises independent judgment demonstrates creativity and foresight and anticipates and solves complex challenges with practical solutions.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects collaborate across teams and develop professionally in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the field by ensuring teams have the tools materials equipment and information needed to execute work successfully.
  • Identify problems collect data and apply company best practices to develop solutions.
  • Lead implementation of job site safety procedures notifications signage supplies and equipment.
  • Manage submittals RFIs addenda and closeout documentation.
  • Assist Project Managers with verifying submittal conformity issuing subcontracts purchase orders and change orders.
  • Support development of quality control and assurance lists and track completion.
  • Monitor labor production against budget; prepare weekly summary reports.
  • Develop expertise in company accounting software to run reports resolve job cost issues and conduct project research.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients; assist with business development and marketing efforts.
  • Review daily reports; coordinate solutions for scheduling difficulties or work interferences.
  • Organize project schedules objectives and requirements to ensure project standards are met.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to coordinate trades and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or related field; OR 3 years of equivalent experience in the drywall trade.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of commercial construction principles techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to evaluate and act on information independently.
  • Effective verbal written and graphic communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach with proven ability to build strong working relationships across teams.
