Bain Capital Asia aims to leverage the firms success and experience investing in North America and Europe to pursue investment opportunities in the Asian markets. Working with the firms US- and European-based teams and other investment areas (public equities debt and venture) Bain Capital Asia functions as a part of an integrated worldwide organization and leverages the firms global capabilities in analyzing executing and managing investments.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The position can be based in Hong Kong or Shanghai. The Associate program is a two-year commitment (with potential for ongoing employment following end of program). The Associate program has been an important component of Bain Capital throughout the history of the firm. It provides a differential experience due to the roles Associates play as well as our value-added approach to investment management. Furthermore the breadth of industries the multiple types of investments and the overall deal volume provide a unique opportunity to gain significant experience in a short period of addition Associates will benefit from a comprehensive global training program that is designed to introduce Bain Capitals value-added investment approach. Associates will learn how to evaluate investment opportunities through the application of fundamental strategic analysis in addition to the more traditional financial modeling. For those interested we also offer the ability to gain unique operating experience on a variety of portfolio company issues by working closely with management teams to evaluate potential add-on investments assess opportunities in new and existing markets and improve core operations. Bain Capital professionals are exposed to a broad set of situations and companies and systematically develop skills as a value-added investor - not just a financial engineer.

As part of this experience Associates can co-invest alongside our fund across all private equity investments and thereby participate in opportunities for significant equity appreciation.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
