Its complex to easily assess the profitability of their client base. The more profitable they are the better they can service their clients and the better their business performs.

This is where LEAP Profit comes in. We will be utilising our in-house expertise and the power of AI to help lawyers drive higher profitability within their business by helping them identify and attract the best clients for their law firm. LEAP Profit is planned to be an independent development team within LEAP product and connect to the rest of the system via established APIs.

What youll do

As Principal Product Manager youll own the strategy roadmap and delivery of LEAP Profit. Youll lead discovery with firms translating insights into a clear product strategy and driving execution with engineering.

Your focus: build products that help law firms optimise profitability. This will be done by leveraging financial data utilisation and AI to allow lawyers to understand their most profitable clients and help drive more of those clients to the law firm.

To make this happen you will:

  • Define the vision and product strategy for LEAP Profit across revenuegap analysis unprofitablematters insights and mattermix optimisation.
  • Lead structured discovery with firm owners practice managers and fee earners to uncover pains quantify impact and shape problem statements and JTBD.
  • Build and maintain an outcomeoriented roadmap aligned to clear product metrics and commercial objectives; communicate priorities and tradeoffs to leadership.
  • Partner with engineering and design to plan deliver and iterate highquality releases - balancing speed with reliability security and scale.
  • Translate raw financial and operational data (time recording WIP debtors writeoffs/discounts) into actionable recommendations and dashboards that drive behaviour change.
  • Run structured betas and pilots instrument usage and value metrics (adoption lift in realisation reduced writeoffs) and build the playbook to scale globally.
  • Collaborate with Sales Marketing and Customer teams on pricing/packaging positioning and enablement assets; support strategic deals and lighthouse wins.
  • Influence senior internal stakeholders (product leadership GM finance legal) and external partners to unblock decisions and accelerate outcomes.
  • Ensure features meet privacy security and legal requirements and align with internal ISMS/BCP practices where relevant.
  • Establish a rigorous rhythm of business - OKRs product reviews postlaunch retros and a transparent feedback loop with firms and field teams.

What youll bring

Youll have 10 years in product roles with 35 years at Senior/Principal level with experience in datadriven SaaS; LegalTech or professionalservices. Along with:

  • A track record leading zerotoone and onetomany products from discovery to scale with measurable commercial impact.
  • Strong product sense and analytical depth youre comfortable with financial concepts (realisation utilisation WIP debtors writeoffs pricing/discounting).
  • Fluency in product discovery techniques (interviews diary studies hypothesis testing) experimentation and instrumentation/telemetry.
  • Experience working crossfunctionally with engineering data design sales and customer teams; credible technical depth to partner with senior engineers.

  • Is commercially minded youre adept at balancing client value unit economics and scalable growth in pricing/packaging decisions.
  • Has a bias to action with high ownership resilience and clarity under ambiguity; thrives in fastpaced highimpact environments.
