Reporting to: Superintendent I/E
This person is responsible for: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for overall execution of corrective and preventive maintenance on low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment motors and plant equipment.
What you will do:
- Model Nutriens core values of safety and integrity lead and enable an inclusive culture in which you and your team are actively contributing to a safe work environment by utilizing Nutriens culture of care.
- Work safely in an industrial environment following policies and procedures
- Participate in safety meetings and inspections and following standard operating procedure
- Troubleshoot inspect repair install and wire all electrical equipment devices and circuits of any voltage on site
- Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical electronic pneumatic digital mechanical devices and control systems
- Direct coordinate and utilize the abilities and skills of other persons in the trade group other assisting trade groups trainees to maintain all instrumentation and electrical equipment to a high level of reliability
- Provide electrical and instrumentation project support to implement planned outages MOCs and projects
- Work closely with contractors vendors and internal departments
- Use computer tools to record failures document repairs and document plant equipment history
- Work as a productive team member and support continuous improvement
What you will bring:
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent is required
- Demonstrated experience as an Electrician in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
- Positive safety behavior and a safety mindset
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a labor-intensive team environment as well as self-guided
- Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
- Willingness to learn and gain required knowledge and experience through training
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability flexibility and open to change in a varying work environment
- High initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges without being asked
