Thurston County Public Health & Social Services (PHSS) is recruiting for a Community Health Nurse Supervisor for our Community Health Division. As a Community Health Nurse Supervisor youll play a pivotal role in transforming lives one family at a time. Drawing on your leadership and clinical expertise youll guide and mentor a dedicated team through reflective supervision helping them grow while fostering a positive and supportive work this role you will support a range of programs that promote child and family well-being including perinatal mental health home visiting services child safety & injury prevention behavioral health and community-based prevention and education initiatives. - Set standards and ensure nurse reports are complete accurate and submitted timely
- Represent the Parent Child Health program in local and state meetings
- Understand and maintain compliance with Medicaid Match regulations
- Promote an equitable workplace that demonstrates an environment respectful of living and working in a multicultural society
- Work with staff to understand program and funding expectations finding solutions to balance the needs
- Stay up to date on relevant community health indicators of concern in maternal child health
- Implement new training materials tools and program techniques in collaboration with your team
- Prepare and monitor County budget submissions
- Develop and provide guidance on procedures and performance standards
- Coordinate major program staff activity and serve as the staff technical resource and advisor
- Cultivate and support working relationships with community partners
- Serve as a member of the PHSS leadership team by attending meetings working collaboratively with team members to create common goals for the betterment of the department and disseminating information to staff & management
- Perform other work as required or assigned including but not limited to a 24/7 response during public health emergency situations and disease outbreak investigations

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related advanced nursing education.
- Must be currently licensed as a Washington State Registered Nurse.
- Three years of practice as a Community Health Nurse II or or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Drivers License or have obtained an appropriate accommodation.
