About the Role

As anAged Care Employee - Wellbeing Services youll help residents to find meaning and purpose through activities designed to enhance their sense of connection fun and relaxation.


Your warm-hearted care will provide experiences that enhance our residents wellbeing and overall quality of life and truly make a positive impact on their lives. It really is an incredibly rewarding role and a lot of fun!


We are looking to appoint interested and enthusiastic individuals to work atIRT Woodlands Meridan Plains:

Available Positions

Position 1:
Permanent Part-Time 4 hours per week

  • Week 1 & Week 2: Wednesday 9:00am 1:00pm

Position 2:
Permanent Part-Time 12 hours per week

  • Week 1: Thursday 8:30am 4:00pm

  • Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday 8:30am 4:00pm

Your work may include:

  • Helping facilitate arange of engaging onsite activities such as bingo floor bowls craft and special events
  • Helping to develop and plan a range of social recreational and cultural activities
  • Assisting residents on bus trips and community outings
  • Supporting resident participation and offering warm companionship
  • Ensuring residents needs values and spiritual values and cultural preferences are taken into account

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • A Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support or equivalent is must (or willing to obtain)
  • Initiative and creative flair
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team and prioritise work
  • The ability to put a smile on a residents face and brighten their day
  • A big heart youre empathetic and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possible
  • Knowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)
