Job Duties

The Docketing Clerk is responsible for providing professional and administrative support
to the Chief Parole Examiner and Parole Examiners. Primary responsibilities include scheduling hearings and dockets coordinating schedules for parole examiners responding to requests for scheduling information from attorneys advocates and family members. Coordinates requests for court appointed attorneys (as needed).

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated experience researching and analyzing data in order to reach logical conclusions prepare routine reports. Considerable recent experience providing customer and administrative support in a professional office setting or court. Experience inputting data into an automated database other than MS Office. Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word Excel and Outlook. Ability to prioritize work meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner. Ability to communicate with customers employees and other individuals to answer questions disseminate or explain information in a courteous manner. Working knowledge of policies and procedures related to offender records maintenance and processes.

Additional Considerations

Working knowledge of the Virginia Parole Boards and Department of Corrections programs and operations as well as knowledge of Virginia Code Sections related to parole is preferred but not required.
