Job Summary

As an Electronic Technician II at SQM youll play a key role in assembling testing and repairing advanced electronic equipment that supports INITs world-class intelligent transportation systems. Youll work hands-on with digital and analog circuits ensuring all components meet rigorous quality standards and contribute to reliable cutting-edge transit technology.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose repair and test electronic assemblies components and circuit boards
Perform manual soldering and rework with attention to IPC workmanship standards
Assemble and test electrical devices according to detailed instructions and quality guidelines
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
Interpret and work from schematics assembly drawings and technical documentation
Complete administrative and reporting tasks accurately and on time
Maintain ESD protection protocols and a clean organized workspace
Support other manufacturing and quality initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent technical training (preferred)
35 years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician in a manufacturing environment
Soldering certification (preferred)

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of analog and digital electronic circuitry
Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment such as multimeters oscilloscopes and power supplies
Familiarity with crimping tools testing procedures and board-level repairs
Knowledge of Windows-based systems (Windows XP 7 or later)
Working knowledge of IPC standards and ESD practices
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Visual acuity to distinguish fine circuit details color variations and tones
Must comply with ESD safety requirements in designated areas
