As an Electronic Technician II at SQM youll play a key role in assembling testing and repairing advanced electronic equipment that supports INITs world-class intelligent transportation systems. Youll work hands-on with digital and analog circuits ensuring all components meet rigorous quality standards and contribute to reliable cutting-edge transit technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose repair and test electronic assemblies components and circuit boards
- Perform manual soldering and rework with attention to IPC workmanship standards
- Assemble and test electrical devices according to detailed instructions and quality guidelines
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Interpret and work from schematics assembly drawings and technical documentation
- Complete administrative and reporting tasks accurately and on time
- Maintain ESD protection protocols and a clean organized workspace
- Support other manufacturing and quality initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent technical training (preferred)
- 35 years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician in a manufacturing environment
- Soldering certification (preferred)
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of analog and digital electronic circuitry
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment such as multimeters oscilloscopes and power supplies
- Familiarity with crimping tools testing procedures and board-level repairs
- Knowledge of Windows-based systems (Windows XP 7 or later)
- Working knowledge of IPC standards and ESD practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook

- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
Physical Requirements
