Job Description:

Team leadership and supervision: This position supervises the two service coordinator positions to set expectations for that staff team to support successful and effective work and to ensure fulfillment of expectations and performance requirements. This position works with the two service coordinator positions to ensure maintaining and updating (and when appropriate upgrading/improving): information resource systems (labor scheduling time-and-labor reporting); training and preparation resources (event assignment specifications training manuals event-specific communication templates); communication of event information to employees and stakeholders. Responsibility includes leadership and teamwork with other staff in training efforts for UFPA employees.

Collaborative teamwork: This position works collaboratively (peer-to-peer) specifically with the UFPA Technical Director and Venue Managers and more generally with the other UFPA event services TEAMS employees working together in meeting to plan events gathering and synthesizing event-related information preparing event documentation and work plans and disseminating ongoing information to UFPA employees and volunteers as well as to UFPA-external stakeholders and service providers.

Support and substitution for the UFPA Director of Operations: as needed for client collaboration venue management staff direction and program representation on behalf of UFPA. Responsibilities include assisting with: artist and client engagement; maintaining venue calendars; preparing venue agreements and event estimates; meetings and ongoing communication with client/artist representatives for planning; and event-specific venue supervision scheduled on an as-needed and sustainable basis.

Other duties as assigned by the UFPA Director of Operations and UFPA Director.

Expected Salary:

$72000-$76000 commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications:A bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of appropriate experience; or a high school diploma and nine years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college course work may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred:

Management/leadership experience including for performing arts events and/or event management and planning for public events. Proficiency with office productivity software such as Microsoft Office Suite particularly Outlook Word and Excel. Highly effective and teamwork-oriented communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written). Effectiveness in group presentation contexts and in leading meetings and group training. Capacity resolve challenges efficiently and effectively. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to handle an array of concurrent projects or tasks. Customer service experience and familiarity with event services and venue management informed by a commitment to work collegially supportively and collaboratively as a member of a diverse team. Capacity to understand interpret and apply UF and UFPA rules regulations policies and procedures.
