What You Will Do: The person will coordinate and oversee the growing line of service offerings to our gas utility clients in the Houston area. The operations managers role is mainly to implement the right processes and practices across the organization to meet/exceed our clients requirements. Duties include formulating operating strategy workforce management performance improvement managing client relationships and administrative management of the team. You should be ready to mentor your team members find ways to increase the quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. Ultimately well trust you to help us remain compliant efficient and profitable as we deliver excellence to our clients

Responsibilities and expectations will include:

• Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate cost-effective way.
• Improve operational management systems processes and best practices.
• Ensure staff has the training equipment and information to succeed.
• Help the organizations processes remain legally compliant.
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
• Examine financial data and use it to improve profitability.
• Manage budgets and forecasts.
• Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs.
• Recruit train and supervise staff.
• Find ways to increase the quality of customer service.

What You Will Bring:

Required:

• Proven work experience as an operations manager or similar role
• Familiarity with Texas 811 Texas Railroad Commission and/or Texas Utilities Code Title 5. Chapter 251 or equivalent.
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
• Experience budgeting and forecasting.
• Familiarity with business and financial principles.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Leadership ability.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Minimum 3 years management experience.

You must be comfortable working in all weather conditions. Due to the physical nature of the work you must be able to lift 50 lbs. 75 lbs. periodically. Youre required to work with your hands and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. At times you may be working at or on uneven terrain slopes in confined spaces or reinforced trenches.
