Job description:
Partners In Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join a busy production facility in Grand Rapids. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience troubleshooting repairing and maintaining production and packaging line equipment. This role is key to keeping operations running smoothly and safely while upholding the highest standards of quality.
What Youll Do
- Troubleshoot repair maintain and install production and packaging equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance projects on schedule and during emergency situations.
- Read and interpret work orders blueprints and schematics to complete repairs.
- Work with mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Perform welding cutting grinding and fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain maintenance logbooks complete paperwork and keep work areas clean.
- Support energy source and air compressor systems.
- Adhere to GMPs OSHA and company safety/quality policies.
- Report and correct any food safety or quality issues immediately.
What Were Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 35 years of maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of electrical hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Strong problem-solving communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work assigned shift and overtime as needed.
- Must complete training and certification (Forklift LOTO Confined Space etc.) as required.
