The Role.
You will play an important role in maintaining and monitoring all onsite electrical systems and equipment. You will be working in a rostered environment working 2x day shifts 2x night shifts then enjoying 4 days off.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ensuring the maximum efficiency and availability of plant operations executing preventative maintenance and swiftly addressing breakdowns. Youll play a key part in fostering a strong safety culture complying with both company and legislative standards and collaborating across teams to support a high-performing professional environment.
Key Responsibilities.
- Conduct daily maintenance and inspection work orders using SAP
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs drives and control circuits
- Respond to equipment breakdowns (call outs)
- Participate in electrical installations test and tag and fabrication
- Maintain compliance with all electrical and safety standards including LOTO JSA and hazard assessments
- Support train and develop your colleagues sharing your expertise
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen Six Sigma)
- Attend and contribute to shift meetings and handovers ensuring seamless communication at all times
- Complete all necessary documentation to maintain plant programs and quality systems
What Youll Bring.
- Current New Zealand electrical registration and relevant trade qualification
- Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Strong knowledge of PLC systems and fault-finding/problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of manufacturing best practices: GMP HACCP Lean Manufacturing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Motivation to cross-train and add value across the wider business
