What You Will Do

Inform prospective students and their families of educational opportunities available to them by: advising and counseling prospective students and their families; interacting with counselors faculty and administrators; making public presentations; representing the University at college day/night programs at high schools colleges and college fairs; assuming responsibility for and assisting with special projects.
Oversee and manage critical projects including human resource management (students) that allows us to meet our enrollment goals and brings in millions of dollars of revenue in the form of tuition fees and room and board.
Work with a substantial budget related to the various responsibilities and provides crucial services and responsibilities that impact enrollment at SIUE.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree
Admission counseling experience
Proven written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated positive work ethic
Interpersonal and counseling skills
Organization and time management skills
Problem solving skills and abilities
Understand and adhere to the Statement of Practices and Courtesies for the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) as well as both the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) and the Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC).
Must maintain a valid Illinois drivers license
