Description:

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting repairing and replacing a variety of electrical systems and components in County owned properties.

SCHEDULE:

Please note this position has a 4-day work week with occasional Fridays evenings and weekend shifts.

This position will require CJIS (Criminal Justice Information System) Clearance prior to employment training upon hire and maintained indefinitely.

COMPENSATION:

Hiring Range: $34.50 - $40.00 USD Hourly

Compensation will be determined based on education experience and skills.

Additional PTO Benefit: Candidates hired with experience exceeding the minimum qualifications are eligible to receive a one-time grant of 40 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Maintain repair and install electrical systems; Including but not limited to switch gear generators transformers lighting systems ups motors and controls VFDs A/C units fuel pumps and building automation systems.
Emergency response and on call. Including but not limited to: Floods odors lighting HVAC fire protection and security. Maintaining equipment related to job duties.
Maintain fire protection system; including control panels smoke detectors sprinklers won doors audio/visual and door holders.
Maintenance of building automation systems; Including programming and testing for the needs of county employees and or the public safety.
Install and maintain low-volt door access and controls.
This position requires after hours on-call for emergencies such as snow removal or other situations that call for essential personnel.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of work-related experience.
High School Diploma GED or equivalent degree.
Colorado Journeyman license.
Note an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Fire alarm install experience.
