Starting Salary: $36990.24 annually

Work Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
In this role you will:
Verifies daily receipts and balances revenues by fund. Communicates fund balances and investible amounts to various departments. Balances each fund with Management staff to ensure any accounting errors are caught on a daily balance
Organize and prepare all necessary documents for weekly check run
Receipts incoming monies from various city departments. Balances cash drawer daily.
Audits financial institution statements pertaining to CWLP and City accounts monthly. Including preparing interest packets
Prepares credit card packets receipting of credit card transaction and reports/moves related to all credit card transactions
Prepares daily and weekly reports for internal and external distribution
Assists customers at the accounting window prepares receipt for permits paid
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in basic accounting and auditing principles along with a clear understanding of treasurers office procedures and relevant city accounting ordinances. They will be comfortable working with numbers financial records and computer systems demonstrating accuracy and efficiency in managing data. The ideal candidate will use sound independent judgment follow both written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with internal staff external agencies and the public. They will be proficient with standard office equipment including computers and calculators and will consistently maintain productive working relationships. A bachelors degree with coursework in accounting finance or business administration combined with at least one year of professional accounting or auditing experienceor an equivalent combination of training and experienceis required.
