Position Overview:
ARKA Group L.P. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer Intern who is passionate about working with team members to solve difficult mission-critical this important role you will be working on Embedded software and Microprocessor designs in ARKA designed hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Design scope and implement technical solutions that scale across ARKA products and customer sets.
- Take instruction from other Embedded SW or Firmware engineers on tasks and design approach.
- Communicate and collaborate across the engineering team and product owners.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions and work with other team members on designs.
- Help to define and prioritize tasks that you are assigned to work on.
- Provide review and feedback during Software designs reviews.
- Continuously improve adapt and grow.
Basic Qualifications:
- University Sophomore Junior or Senior. Working towards a BS/BE in computer science computer engineering or electrical engineering
- Professional or lab experience with languages such as C C Python or Rust
- Professional or lab experience with Embedded microprocessors. Experience with compile run and debug of embedded applications
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes logic analyzers signal generators spectrum analyzers etc.
- Create functional block diagrams for design review prior code development
- Passionate about fostering good engineering practices and processes
- Understanding of testing and troubleshooting principles
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with an eye for detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ARM A-series microprocessors or Xilinx SoC chips
- Knowledge of modular programming and OOP concepts
- Read/analyze/review PCB schematics and layouts
- Familiar with telemetry and satellite communications
Pay Range: $23.00/hr - $29.00/hr

This position is based out of ARKAs Colorado Springs CO campus. If you like city life but also enjoy the great outdoors Colorado Springs is the place for you. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to communicate listen to and interpret instructions occasionally operate tools and/or machinery with hands and arms and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. The employee will use protective equipment when working with chemicals move between workstations reach and replace equipment and move items weighing up to 25 lbs. This position requires the incumbent to access export-controlled information.
