Finance & Accounting Manager:
Summary:
This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing our accounting operations financial reporting and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will be a technically strong accountant with demonstrated leadership skills deep knowledge of GAAP and proven experience optimizing systems such as NetSuite. You will: take on increasing responsibility for financial reporting cash flow management and strategic planning; demonstrate leadership by building a scalable accounting function and mentoring staff and become a trusted financial advisor to the executive team.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
*Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP AR payroll and general ledger.
*Lead monthly and year-end close processes ensuring timely accurate financial statements.
*Prepare and analyze balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
*Oversee cost accounting inventory valuation and reserve calculations (E&O shrink).
*Maintain 13-week cash forecast model and monitor liquidity.
*Establish and enforce accounting policies procedures and internal controls.
*Ensure compliance with US GAAP tax laws and regulatory requirements.
*Coordinate external audits and tax filings serving as primary contact for auditors.
*Oversee risk and insurance requirements.
*Partner with leadership on budgeting forecasting and strategic financial planning.
*Conduct financial analysis to support investment cost optimization and business decisions.
*Lead process improvement and automation initiatives leveraging NetSuite to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities.
*Supervise and mentor accounting staff fostering a high-performance culture.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
*Assume broader responsibilities in reporting cash management and strategic finance as part of ongoing career development.
Qualifications:
*Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
*7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance including management experience.
*Strong expertise with NetSuite and advanced Excel.
*In-depth knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards and compliance.
*Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage audits.
*Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
*Adaptable proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Listed: $100-$130k plus benefits
