Achievers Early College Prep Charter School (AECP) is New Jerseys first public charter school for students in grades 612 that provides them with the unique opportunity to take a course of study in STEM fields and Digital Media Arts following the 8th grade and earn up to 60 college credits. We are redefining the high school experience by empowering students with skills knowledge and opportunities that prepare them for success in college career and beyond.
We are seeking a dynamic and innovativeSTEAM Teacherwho is passionate about integratingScience Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematicsinto engaging hands-on learning experiences. The STEAM Teacher will design and deliver high-quality instruction that encourages creativity critical thinking collaboration and problem-solving. This teacher will alsoworkclosely with colleagues to create cross-disciplinary projects that prepare students for real-world applications of STEAM.
Develop and implement engaging STEAM curriculum aligned to New Jersey Student Learning Standards and AECPs mission.
Create project-based learning experiences that integrate science technology engineering arts and mathematics.
Utilize technology design thinking and inquiry-based learning strategies to inspire student curiosity and innovation.
Collaborate with colleagues across content areas to design interdisciplinary projects.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Assess student performance using multiple measures and provide timely actionable feedback.
Foster a classroom culture of high expectations collaboration and respect.
Incorporate college and career readiness skills into daily instruction.
Actively participate in school-wide professional development data meetings and collaborative planning.
Serve as a role model advisor and mentor for students.
Bachelors degree in Education STEAM-related field or equivalent required; Masters degree preferred.
Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate (or eligibility) in a STEAM-related subject area.
Strong knowledge of STEAM curriculum and instructional practices.
Experience with project-based learning makerspaces coding robotics engineering design or digital media arts preferred.
