Are you ready to kickstart your HR career with a global leader Hills Pet Nutrition is seeking a driven HR Co-Op to join our Business HR team at our Science & Technology Center in Topeka KS. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience work on meaningful projects and make a real difference in a fun collaborative environment.
In this role youll work alongside a dynamic HR team gaining exposure to a variety of HR functions from employee engagement to strategic HR initiatives. If youre eager to apply your skills in a fast-paced collaborative environment this role is for you!
What Youll Do:
Drive HR Initiatives: Support impactful HR projects that boost employee experience and fuel business success.
Collaborate & Communicate: Partner with diverse teams on initiatives like learning programs people development talent acquisition labor strategy and HR data accuracy.
Boost Employee Engagement: Help plan and roll out programs that keep our team inspired and connected.
Dive into HR Operations & Data Analytics: Use data to guide decisions and optimize processes.
What Were Looking For:
Currently a Junior Senior or Graduate student pursuing a degree in HR Industrial-Organizational Psychology Business or a related field.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Prior corporate or internship experience is preferred.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to drive meaningful change.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Google Workspace applications (Docs Sheets Slides).

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $20.00 - $24.50 USD
Pay is determined based on experience qualifications and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses profit-sharing and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision basic life insurance paid parental leave disability coverage and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employees hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
