Settlement Analyst

What does a successful Settlement Analyst (Card Schemes) do

As a Settlement Analyst you will expertly manage financial transactions ensure timely reconciliation of payments and work in collaboration with internal and external partners. You will maintain accurate records and proactively address any discrepancies. The Scheme Settlement Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that funds are reconciled daily and compliant with all applicable regulations and internal performance standards to meet or exceed the monthly goal objectives of personal and/or departmental key indicators. Attention to detail strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships are paramount to this role.

What you will do:

  • Daily reconciliation of Scheme Payments into AIB Merchant Services Bank Accounts

  • Maintaining positive partner relationships through effective communication

  • Document all activities and communications within the Settlements system or database.

  • Good interpersonal skill and the ability to manage to tight deadlines

  • The ability to deal with multiple issues at the same time and prioritise workload to achieve results.

  • Liaising with our Banking organisations re payment plans ensuring good communication both internally with colleagues and departments and externally with customers agencies and all stakeholders.

  • The ability to work to business deadlines and to deliver objectives.

What you will need to have:

  • 2 years experience in a similar role.

  • Solid experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous).

  • Banking or Payments Industry experience advantageous

  • Reconciliation experience a plus

  • Proficiency in Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
