Job Description

SFT Mainframe Decommissioning Program Lead

Prime Brokerage and Securities Finance Technology (PBSFT) provide the technology that supports the core Prime Brokerage functions (custody client service reporting cap intro sales finance) the trading and post trade processing of Securities Finance Transactions (SFTs) as well as collateral posting and automation.

SFT Mainframe Lead

  • SFT has a large mainframe footprint and we need a skilled senior program lead to drive the mainframe retirement as well as direct the work of the existing development teams.
  • This role involves leading decommission of SFT-owned mainframe systems aligned with the broader renovation that replaces SFT mainframe systems with a strategic trade capture and post-trade system.
  • Mainframe Team Leadership: Leading the team who are involved in decommission activities including job and dependency analysis development needed in support of the deco or other changes in addition to required changes in support of the business.
  • Working front to back with various renovation efforts to help with analysis or development needs in support of the renovation or by directly overseeing development work on our distributed systems to renovate.
  • Program management of our deco efforts including close management of our inventory tracker.
  • Leading the monthly mainframe decommission meeting to drive accountability/visibility across decommission workstreams with stakeholders.
  • It would also include face-off with the central Legacy Modernization project team to update on deco progress and drive dependency tracking.

Skills required:

  • 10 years experience on Mainframe systems
  • Proficient in mainframe development skills including Natural/Adabas
  • Understanding of mainframe tools SDLC and other technologies such as CICS Shadow Direct etc
  • Strong knowledge of the MS mainframe and neighbouring systems e.g. Finance Settlements etc
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Program management skills and experience in managing complex programs of work especially legacy system deco initiatives.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing development teams.
