The Role

Youll lead a four-person mobile field team that drives custom-built trucks to client sites operates and maintains shredding/destruction equipment on-site and delivers a white-glove customer experience-while ensuring safety documentation and compliance standards are consistently met. As a player-coach youll split time between team leadership (scheduling training QA) and hands-on field work (truck/equipment ops client handoffs).

What Youll Do

Team leadership & scheduling: Build weekly route plans and staffing; manage PTO/coverage; run daily stand-ups and end-of-day debriefs.
Field coaching: Ride along to observe SOPs certify technicians on truck and equipment operation and deliver refresher training. (Truck ops include 24 26 ft units and on-board systems.)
Safety & compliance: Enforce fleet safety pre/post-trip inspections driver logs and data-destruction protocols aligned to NAID AAA and related standards.
Quality & documentation: Ensure Certificates of Destruction (CoD) and event reports are complete accurate and delivered to clients; review inventory usage and maintenance logs daily.
Equipment readiness: Oversee preventative maintenance basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to minimize downtime; verify generator readiness and site power needs.
Customer experience: Serve as escalation point on-site; ensure shred throughput meets client specs and SLAs; capture feedback for continuous improvement.
Warehouse coordination: Partner with the warehouse team on loading/unloading consumables and parts replenishment so trucks leave 100% job-ready.
Metrics & reporting: Track on-time arrivals event duration shred throughput incident rate inventory availability and client CSAT; publish weekly scorecards.

What Youll Bring

3 5 years in field service logistics or industrial equipment operations; 1 2 years leading technicians or drivers (lead foreman trainer or supervisor).
Strong mechanical aptitude-able to troubleshoot shredders/industrial equipment and perform minor repairs/generator checks.
Experience building SOPs training plans and field checklists.
Experience with safety programs checklists and compliance documentation (driver logs inspections CoD event reports).
Clear professional client communication and a calm service-oriented demeanor on customer sites.
Ability to lift stage and position equipment as needed for on-site operations.

Nice to Have

Background in ITAD/data destruction secure logistics or closely related field.
Familiarity with NAID AAA and/or ISO-based quality systems.

Success Metrics (first 90 days)

Safety: 100% completion of pre/post-trip inspections and zero preventable incidents.
Readiness: 98% truck/equipment job-ready rate at dispatch; no missed consumables.
Quality: 100% CoD and event report accuracy/same-day submission.
Team development: All four technicians certified on core SOPs; quarterly ride-along coaching for each team member.
