Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing maintaining and troubleshooting control systems in an industrial environment.
- This position is responsible for design programming and configuration of DCS systems PLCs SCADA and related software.
- They will provide technical support to customers develop technical documents and participate in project management and project coordination.
- The Automation Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of automation strategies for industrial process control systems.
- They will be required to have a working knowledge of industrial control systems and be able to communicate effectively with customers engineers and other stakeholders.
- Needs to be comfortable with the night shift work.
As a shift automation engineer the following are expected to form the overall job description:
- Work on Incident management Service request management Problem management and Change management areas.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication documentation presentation and computer skills.
- Works in a team based environment and exchanges technical information with management technical support personnel and equipment vendors.
- Execute IQ OQ for Control Systems Development and Enhancements
- Develop system validation documentation and ensure system validation compliance.
- Manage and update system documentation including SOPs.
- Create and manage application-specific knowledge management.
- Programming of various Control Systems applications and HMIs
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design program and configure DeltaV systems PLCs SCADA and related software.
- Provide technical support to customers engineers and other stakeholders.
- Develop technical documents including design specification user manuals and operational procedures.
- Develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems.
- Troubleshoot maintain and upgrade existing control systems.
- Participate in project management and project coordination.
- Monitor and analyze system performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with safety environmental and quality standards.
- Utilize best practices standards and procedures related to automation systems.
- Maintain and update knowledge of evolving automation technologies.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Electrical Computer Science or Bio-Process Engineering or related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant automation life science manufacturing experience
Top Must Haves/ Keywords:
- Experience with having worked on shift and open to 12 hour shift; PLC/ Robotics/ Automation systems. Life Sciences Manufacturing experience.
- HM is looking for automation experience.
- Also Life Science Manufacturing experience is mandatory.
